In social studies on Friday we took notes on India from a movie. We learned about the Hindu ceremonies, the varanasi, and the Ganges river.
The Hindu ceremonies are the first topic I will write about. So, the first thing you probably want to learn about is that they take place at dawn and dusk in there home. Then after their baths they start to pray/worship their god. They go to a family shrine and start praying in Sanskrit. Occasionally the woman will gather in a group and sing hymns for one of their gods.
Next I will explain to you about the Varanasi. Now you should no that Varanasi was really important because people came their before their death. Also the British built railroad tracks when they ruled India. Can you believe that cows were there sacred animal? Plus 670,000,000 are Hindu.
Finally I will explain to you about the Ganges River and how filthy it is. The people who go in the Ganges River are use to the river but if somebody from the United States went in the Ganges they would probably get sick. The Ganges River is were the people prayed. Lots of people go there but there are cremation ghats that cremate bodies into the sea.
That’s what our social studies movie taught us.

Nightfall
The stars blinked as I watched the sky.
Along my side at the dark night the leaves whispered at me.
I came to a pond and the water whistled as I walked home.
And the snow observed me as I stomped through the mist.
Then finally I was home and the roof sparkled from the heavy snow.

Oil is going down
In social studies the past few days we had a assignment on oil.We don’t have a lot of supply on oil left because we use it it in transportation to big trips and heating homes. Scientists belive that 2.6 trillion barrels are how much oil we have and only 1.7 are actully found, the rest are formed into rocks or we can’t locate it. Another problem is O.P.E.C.(Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries)the supply of oil is going down but the demand is staying so basicly everybody wants the oil. To solve that problem people are creating oil free things that run on energy for example some one made a car called the Mini Cat. The oil is mostly in O.P.E.C. countries like Saudia Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Venezuela, and Nigeria. Canada, Russia, United states, and Mexico are some of the countries that more oil in non O.P.E.C members. What I wrote about is what we learned in social studies today soyou can tell some body else about how low our oil supply is.

Math
Today in math we got ready for our mid-year exam.
First we started out by correcting our homework from the night before, it was a review on what we have already been learning. We already took the test at the beginning of the year and we all got horrible grades like 4s,9s,and 12s,also we had some 0s. the review had problems like write 0.00001 as a power of ten witch was 10 to the nagetive 5th power. Also had to write 273,800 in number and word notation and the answer was 273.8 hundred thousand. then we worked on our Journal #1 and did some pages that would get us ready for our test tomorrow.after the pages she past back our tests from last week and we ended class. Now you can see what our teacher teaches us.

Dear Ronald,
I’m writing to you about the Ottoman Empire that ruled Turkey, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, southern Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia Iraq, Kuwait, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Jordan, eastern and western Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, eastern Yemen, Egypt, northern Libya, Tunisia, and northern Algeria. It was the longest empire in history. It controlled most of southeastern Europe. This empire lasted from 1300 to 1920 and it controlled the most powerful countries. The Ottoman Empire had a strong military which was split into part and ruled by strong leaders. Here are some important dates: in 1534 Iraq was added to the empire, in 1881 Tunisia was taken by the French, and in 1882 Egypt was taken by Britain. (these were important countries).Important leaders were, Osman 1(1281-1324), Mehmed 2 Fatih (1444-1446), Murad 3 (1574-1595), Osman 3 (1754-1757), and Murad 5 (1876). People think that the reason the Empire was very strong was because they had experienced leaders.

From, Monaly

My dog Munson is the best dog ever. We rescued him from labs4rescue
when he was 2-3 years old. His birthday is Valentine day and he will be turning 5. Of course he is a chocolate lab and he is STRONG. He gets a walk every day and enjoys the company playing with some of the other dogs on street (Hammi,Montie,Frosty ,Blossem,Feebie, and Meeso). He is my favorite cute brown dog in the world.
